The Bird!

This was David on Sunday morning. He was not too happy with life. There was a bird "cawing" into the basement and it was driving him crazy. He woke us up by banging on the window, yelling and stomping on the deck outside. Dave and I went to the window inside. There was a little bluejay stuck underneath the deck and in the window well. Dave saved the day by opening the basement window and getting the bird to go inside a box. We then brought it upstairs and released it.
Of course David couln't be very mad when he saw the the little bird. He finally flew away when his mother came to rescue him!

Baseball Season Never Ends!

You would think that it WOULD end sometime but in our home it is never ending- but what better way to spend time with friends and family (except crafting, of course:) David played on the JV team as a utility player- catching, 2ND base and center field. Now he is playing on the South Portage/West Portage Big League- he is getting a lot of play as a third baseman (new for him) and is loving it. The team is comprised on 16 - 18 year olds. He is seeing some great play time. We will be leaving for Cape Cod, Massachusetts in the middle of July for him to train at the Baseball Factory Camp. I'm looking forward to watching him and also spending time exploring "the Cape."
